Kayleigh Mountford

I have experience of advising both employers and employees on all aspects of employment law, including settlement agreements, Tribunal claims, breach of restrictive covenants, redundancy and disciplinaries. I have a real passion for employment law and understand how stressful an issue at work can be. I strive to provide straight forward advice with compassion and empathy to help both businesses and individuals navigate through those challenging times.

Some of the cases I have advised on include:

• Advising a firm in relation to a claim for breach of restrictive covenant, specifically in relation to a non-solicitation and non-dealing covenant. Successfully obtaining undertakings from the employee following injunctive proceedings being issued and having the restrictions upheld in the High Court.
• Acting for an employee in relation to their claim for unfair dismissal and sex/pregnancy discrimination, obtaining a favourable settlement for the employee prior to trial.
• Advising an employee in relation to a settlement agreement and negotiating a significant increase in the settlement figure.

My passion is helping people, this is at the heart of everything I do, both in my professional and personal life and I am proud to be part of the RELA team.

In my free time I love going for walks with my family and am fortunate enough to live in an area that has some amazing scenery and beautiful parks, as well as some lovely country pubs.
